Qualifying Stage flash: Kajetanowicz quickest on home ERC ground

The LOTOS Rally Team driver set a time of 2m05.140s over the 3.17 kilometres of the Niechobrz test in his Ford Fiesta R5 to secure first choice of road selection for the first leg of the new ERC event.

Taking second place was the current Polish champion Łukasz Habaj in another Fiesta R5, just 0.520 seconds slower than Kajetanowicz.

Bryan Bouffier, three-time Polish champion and four-time Rally Rzeszow winner, was third fastest in his Gemini Clinic Rally Team Citroën DS3 R5.

Fourth fastest was Filip Nivette in a ŠKODA Fabia R5, with Jakub Brzeziński fifth in a Fiesta R5. Raul Jeets was close behind in sixth, ahead of Grzegorz Grzyb, Dávid Botka, Jarosław Kołtun and ERC2 points leader Wojciech Chuchała.

Poland’s Tomasz Gryc edged out regular ERC Junior competitor Nikolay Gryazin by two tenths of a second for the best two-wheel drive time.

The start order selection will take place at 16h15 at Millenium Hall in Rzeszow prior to the opening stage at 20h00 on the streets of the city.
